Marine Corps Combat Utility Uniform (MCCUU)
The latest Marine Corps uniform has a distinctive pattern that is unique to the Marine Corps. When viewed up close, the uniform is comprised of computer-generated patterns of squares. The uniform was designed by Marines to improve survivability, as well as durability and comfort.

The camouflage pattern is suitable for "every clime and place," and effective for blending into many environments. A woodland computer-generated pattern provides the best cover for forest areas; the desert pattern works best in urban and arid or sandy environments.

The new utility uniforms have angled chest pockets, and name and service tapes. Like previous combat utility uniforms, they continue to have a sleeve roll and bloused trouser. Upper sleeve pockets have been added for quick access to gear, and elastic on the cargo pocket reduces gear falling out. The Eagle, Globe and Anchor emblem is embroidered on the blouse and covers. MARINE CORPS UNIFORMS CIRCA 1983
Colonel Donna J. Neary, USMCR was commissioned by the U.S. Marine Corps to paint highly accurate illustrations of Marine Corps uniforms. The illustrations are now a great source of pride in the Marine Corps, and reproductions can be found in many Marine Corps buildings. The paintings accurately highlight the qualities that make Marine Corps uniforms the most respected uniforms in the world. Many men and women throughout the years have joined the Marines just to wear the uniform. Click on each image below to enlarge.
