Andersen
Air Force Base is a strategically located forward main
operating base on the island of Guam, a U.S. territory in the
western Pacific Ocean. The 36th Wing of the Pacific Air Forces
is host unit to USAF Active, Reserve, National Guard and US
Naval forces. Fully integrated, the base and units of Team
Andersen provide the Commander, US Pacific Command
extraordinary operational flexibility in the Western Pacific
and East Asia. The base is postured to support operations
across the spectrum of conflict to include sustained combat
operations.
UNITS
Andersen is home to the 36th Wing, Air Mobility Command's
734th Air Mobility Support Squadron, Naval unit Helicopter Sea
Combat Squadron Twenty Five (HSC-25) and several other tenant
organizations.
