US Troops Killed in Afghanistan
KABUL, Afghanistan - Four U.S. service members died
after their vehicle struck an improvised explosive
device Aug. 6, 2009 in western Afghanistan.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and
friends of these four brave service members we lost to
vicious and indiscriminate IEDs," said Brig. Gen. Eric
Tremblay, ISAF spokesperson.
"Despite these difficult losses, we remain resolute in
meeting the commitment that we have towards the Afghan
population. We will need both courage and patience to
